Overview

SDL MultiTerm Team Edition extends the SDL MultiTerm Desktop offering to support a multi-user environment of up to five concurrent users. It standardises the accurate and consistent use of all terms that your clients business uses, in one language or across multiple languages. SDL MultiTerm Team includes all SDL MultiTerm Desktop components, but increases your ability to manage terminology by adding server power to small teams.

SDL MultiTerm Team builds and maintains master glossary termbases that standardise your clients' brands, product names, part names, technical specifications, legal phrases, catalogue descriptions, marketing messages, style guides, and more. Your master glossaries are then available to selected users to explain how product, technical, legal, medical, and marketing terms should be used across multiple languages.

Based on SDL MultiTerm Server technology, its design guarantees connectivity from various client applications, such as SDL MultiTerm Desktop, Microsoft Word and SDL MultiTerm Extract. Combined with a lightweight deployment, SDL MultiTerm Team can be setup easily with a mouse-click.

Once your master glossaries are built, SDL MultiTerm Team enables you to publish and distribute them in many formats (web pages, XML, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc.). In addition, SDL MultiTerm Team integrates with TRADOS Translation Memory, Microsoft Word, and other software to provide terminology guidance to authors and translators while using those applications.

SDL MultiTerm Team also performs quality assurance. It can inspect documents and warn when terminology is being used incorrectly. It enables your customers to promote regulatory compliance, avoid litigation over terminology errors, establish consistent language for communications with customers, and support consistency in multinational marketing and branding.

System Requirements

SDL MultiTerm Team Edition runs under Windows 2000, Windows 2003 or Windows XP MS Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher.

Hardware: 60 MB available RAM, 256 MB hard disk space for installation + space for local or shared termbases Microsoft Office 97 is no longer supported. Microsoft Office 2000 SP3 and XP, Office XP and Office 2003 (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) continue to be supported.
