SDL MultiTerm Desktop 2009 is the desktop terminology management tool from SDL. It can be used out-of-the-box as a standalone desktop tool to manage all your clients’ terminology, or its power can be enhanced in the translation environment through integration with SDL Trados Studio 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1).

Brand new user interface improves usability
- Improved and updated user interface with fresh look and feel with more intuitive menus and navigation allow for easier termbase editing and adding of terms.
Enhanced integration
- Enhanced integration within SDL Trados Studio 2009 SP1 now allows users to edit terms directly from within the translation environment, as well as view customizable search results with the new ‘Hitlist’ search feature.
Improved efficiency
- Advanced search ‘Hitlist’ display enables you to customize how search results are viewed. Choose to display not only the term, but also its translations, synonyms, description or status and more. This feature is also integrated into SDL Trados Studio 2009 SP1.
Open standards support
- Ability to import and export terms from different terminology environments through compatibility with TBX (Term Base eXchange format - the open, XML-based LISA standard for sharing terminology data).
