The first step is to contact your local sales representative who will advise you about our SDL TRADOS Certification package for Corporations and getting started with the program
The next step is to assess the knowledge of your in-house translators and project managers:
- Own a legal, registered license of SDL Trados 2007
- Have practical knowledge of the Create, Cleanse, Maintain (CCM) Methodology
- Invite your translators and project managers to take the free online placement exam for the chosen SDL Trados 2007 technology (Translator’s Workbench or SDLX)
- According to the exam results the most suitable certification training plan will be recommended for each user to allow progress through each required level of certification training, leading towards SDL TRADOS Certification.
What is a SDL TRADOS Certified Translator?
A translator that has been successful in achieving SDL TRADOS Certification is a person that has demonstrated proficiency in SDL Trados 2007 and the Create, Cleanse, Maintain (CCM) Methodology. Achieving SDL TRADOS Certification will validate your expertise in understanding and applying the CCM Methodology, as well as leveraging the complete range of SDL Trados functionality, including new collaboration, filtering, QA checking and terminology management.
What are the requirements to get your team started with SDL TRADOS Certification?
- Own a legal, company-registered license(s) of SDL Trados 2007
- Your team should have practical knowledge of the Create Cleanse Maintain (CCM) Methodology
- Ask your team to take the Certification Placement Exam to determine each user’s level of expertise
- Based on placement exam results, the exam will suggest Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3
- Study / Prepare to pass the suggested level - SDL TRADOS Certification Training courses are highly suggested
- Successful completion of the Level 3 exam will award SDL TRADOS Certification Program. Each user will receive a link that can be displayed on their email signature/ website, as well as a Certification ownership card
